"No proof for colleges getting capitation fees" - says minister for higher education in TN

Engineering Colleges in TN were getting a huge sum as capitation fees. The fees crossed nearly 3 lakhs. The highest in the bid was ECE,Mechanical and lowest was IT thanks to recession. Many colleges were caught by the secret camera carried by the journalists. But the comment made by the mininster for higher education made me laugh the whole day.He says no proper evidence is there to prove the criminal activities of colleges. He adds that no parent is coming forward with the capitation fee slip that they have paid. This is Indian education my dear friends from rest of the World. If you have money ,you can buy anything in India.Even education.Thats the saddest part!...

Education a new business oppurtunity in India??

India has the highest number of universities in the World and the count is nearly 8400+.Does this mean all Indians are literates or India has most number of literates? .The answer is No.Education in India is like booking a railway ticket unlike in countries like England or Australia. The quality of education is below par in many of the 8400 universities.Only a few colleges maintain their standards and some reach bigger heights in Outlook rankings. But why this drastic difference?.Its because of the cheap reservation we have in India.People use the condition of poor and needy and create politics with priceless education.Even this reservation is misused in India a lot. Many people who are in forward community, with their influence get the BC certificate and get into top universities and colleges.
A friend of mine belongs to FC but his father got him a SC certificate and made him join IIM with his iinfluence.Such is the standard of Indian education. You dont need to score high to get into IIM,nor break your heads with CAT,all you need is good sum of money and thats it you are in to the top most college in India.May be IIM too!! .. If quality people does not come out of such good universities then think about the quality of future engineers or doctors or entrepreneurs!.On an average 2 out of 10 people in IIM take up their own business out of which 6 out of 10 people are from business background. The obvious reasons are the fathers of these worthless MBA's want their son to take up their position and want their son to continue their successfull business.
Do you know nearly 60% of those who scored 98% in CAT reappear to get into IIM,as they failed in the first place.Failure here i mean, not getting calls from IIM's.I can't blame only influential fathers but also the government for bringing in the reservation concept in higher studies. The so called service profession,MBBS,is also affected by this shit concept. Many students who score well and get 98,99 in medical entrance do not get a single seat.Ironically students from SC,ST,BC,MBC who score 60,65 in medical entrance gets admission in atleast 1 govt.medical college. This is the status of the quality of doctors in India. No wonder the invasion of H1N1 in India.
Although you can argue the growth India has even in the time of recession,I would say the growth is less compared with the talent the students has.No wonder why many students go abroad and gets settled there. In contrast, the universities in abroad do have reservation but not with caste.Their way of reservation makes sense and infact the best concept unlike the stupid concept in India.they give reservation to those people who have served in army, navy, airforce.Even the Prince of England served in english army for years.Hope India learn many things from these countries rather than getting useless culture that spoils youth.
If this scenario continues then it is useless to say India 2020!.

Hats off to this lady!!!

Tha din din na - Tha din din na cantilates a 80 year old veteran of bharathanatyam art.Mrs.Indu Mita a well renowned bharathanatyam dancer. With thousands of bharathanatyam dancers around what makes her so special and topic of our discussion?? .. She teaches the gals in Lahore.Yes you have geard it right.Bharathanatyam at pakistan.Thats special isint it?.Pakistan may not allow Indians walk in their soil but Indu has engraved indian culture in the hearts of many pakistani girls.she dressed up in a sari and a blouse and she jumps in air and stands on her knee, believe me she is in her 80's.Despite taliban's overshadowing the pakistani army Indu continued her service. Her husband served in army for more than 3 decaded before he died at the age of 50 but her mission did not end.Even under strict pakistan rule her aim is to start bharathanatyam school throughout pakistan and spread the oldest dance art.I was impressed by this story of Indu Mita who sacrificed her life towards the art of dance. Her determination even at this age is awesome. One should really learn from her. This woman is really mindblowing!!! .. Hats off to you !!!

How good is your university???

Every now and then we see an university coming up in the market with the slogan rated best in B-school survey, ranked No.1 stuffs. But how do you select the best in the business?.If you are a person who go by rankings then i am sorry to say,you are goining in a wrong path. You cant claim that just because the university is rated in top 10,its the best.A good university is judged by several factors as i list below.

  1. A good alumini network.Alumini is the key factor for any university and not the ranking. If a university has a good alumini association that clearly says the track record of the university
  2. Number of foreign students and NRI's iin the university. This gives a clear idea about the popularity of the college in the international level
  3. Discipline of faculty. This gives a clear idea of the standard of the university.A university may less renowned but if the faculty is good then it is worth the money.
  4. Choice of the country for your higheer studies. For instance if you are going to pursue masters in automobile then you have to opt for any universities in Germany.as germany is the best in automobile sector.
  5. Facilities provided and placement records of the university SHouts at its high voice nowadays.Students nowadays forsee the number of companies come for placements rather than the quality of company come for placements.
  6. The fees structure plays a vital role along with the cost of living and part time job oppurtunities in the area.
  7. Last but not the least do see the ranking of the university in outlook too.
