"No proof for colleges getting capitation fees" - says minister for higher education in TN

Engineering Colleges in TN were getting a huge sum as capitation fees. The fees crossed nearly 3 lakhs. The highest in the bid was ECE,Mechanical and lowest was IT thanks to recession. Many colleges were caught by the secret camera carried by the journalists. But the comment made by the mininster for higher education made me laugh the whole day.He says no proper evidence is there to prove the criminal activities of colleges. He adds that no parent is coming forward with the capitation fee slip that they have paid. This is Indian education my dear friends from rest of the World. If you have money ,you can buy anything in India.Even education.Thats the saddest part!...

Education a new business oppurtunity in India??

India has the highest number of universities in the World and the count is nearly 8400+.Does this mean all Indians are literates or India has most number of literates? .The answer is No.Education in India is like booking a railway ticket unlike in countries like England or Australia. The quality of education is below par in many of the 8400 universities.Only a few colleges maintain their standards and some reach bigger heights in Outlook rankings. But why this drastic difference?.Its because of the cheap reservation we have in India.People use the condition of poor and needy and create politics with priceless education.Even this reservation is misused in India a lot. Many people who are in forward community, with their influence get the BC certificate and get into top universities and colleges.
A friend of mine belongs to FC but his father got him a SC certificate and made him join IIM with his iinfluence.Such is the standard of Indian education. You dont need to score high to get into IIM,nor break your heads with CAT,all you need is good sum of money and thats it you are in to the top most college in India.May be IIM too!! .. If quality people does not come out of such good universities then think about the quality of future engineers or doctors or entrepreneurs!.On an average 2 out of 10 people in IIM take up their own business out of which 6 out of 10 people are from business background. The obvious reasons are the fathers of these worthless MBA's want their son to take up their position and want their son to continue their successfull business.
Do you know nearly 60% of those who scored 98% in CAT reappear to get into IIM,as they failed in the first place.Failure here i mean, not getting calls from IIM's.I can't blame only influential fathers but also the government for bringing in the reservation concept in higher studies. The so called service profession,MBBS,is also affected by this shit concept. Many students who score well and get 98,99 in medical entrance do not get a single seat.Ironically students from SC,ST,BC,MBC who score 60,65 in medical entrance gets admission in atleast 1 govt.medical college. This is the status of the quality of doctors in India. No wonder the invasion of H1N1 in India.
Although you can argue the growth India has even in the time of recession,I would say the growth is less compared with the talent the students has.No wonder why many students go abroad and gets settled there. In contrast, the universities in abroad do have reservation but not with caste.Their way of reservation makes sense and infact the best concept unlike the stupid concept in India.they give reservation to those people who have served in army, navy, airforce.Even the Prince of England served in english army for years.Hope India learn many things from these countries rather than getting useless culture that spoils youth.
If this scenario continues then it is useless to say India 2020!.

Hats off to this lady!!!

Tha din din na - Tha din din na cantilates a 80 year old veteran of bharathanatyam art.Mrs.Indu Mita a well renowned bharathanatyam dancer. With thousands of bharathanatyam dancers around what makes her so special and topic of our discussion?? .. She teaches the gals in Lahore.Yes you have geard it right.Bharathanatyam at pakistan.Thats special isint it?.Pakistan may not allow Indians walk in their soil but Indu has engraved indian culture in the hearts of many pakistani girls.she dressed up in a sari and a blouse and she jumps in air and stands on her knee, believe me she is in her 80's.Despite taliban's overshadowing the pakistani army Indu continued her service. Her husband served in army for more than 3 decaded before he died at the age of 50 but her mission did not end.Even under strict pakistan rule her aim is to start bharathanatyam school throughout pakistan and spread the oldest dance art.I was impressed by this story of Indu Mita who sacrificed her life towards the art of dance. Her determination even at this age is awesome. One should really learn from her. This woman is really mindblowing!!! .. Hats off to you !!!

How good is your university???

Every now and then we see an university coming up in the market with the slogan rated best in B-school survey, ranked No.1 stuffs. But how do you select the best in the business?.If you are a person who go by rankings then i am sorry to say,you are goining in a wrong path. You cant claim that just because the university is rated in top 10,its the best.A good university is judged by several factors as i list below.

  1. A good alumini network.Alumini is the key factor for any university and not the ranking. If a university has a good alumini association that clearly says the track record of the university
  2. Number of foreign students and NRI's iin the university. This gives a clear idea about the popularity of the college in the international level
  3. Discipline of faculty. This gives a clear idea of the standard of the university.A university may less renowned but if the faculty is good then it is worth the money.
  4. Choice of the country for your higheer studies. For instance if you are going to pursue masters in automobile then you have to opt for any universities in Germany.as germany is the best in automobile sector.
  5. Facilities provided and placement records of the university SHouts at its high voice nowadays.Students nowadays forsee the number of companies come for placements rather than the quality of company come for placements.
  6. The fees structure plays a vital role along with the cost of living and part time job oppurtunities in the area.
  7. Last but not the least do see the ranking of the university in outlook too.

Youth Power Vs Plastic power - Plastic triumphs

Its not enough to say "We need the change". Its worth to say "We are the change".How do you carry grocery?.You take xerox of your notes or books and how do you carry it?.... If the answer to all the questions is plastic then we youth should feel ashamed.Could you believe on an average 1 million plastic bags are used per minute around the world and 500 billion annually. We useless literates always preach and dont practise. Why dont you use paper bags my fellows.Plastic cover can be green but it can make our future dark.Hoardings shout "Say no to plastic".But the force got a short life.. This is the situation in India. What we did as a youth,as an Indian ?? ..writing blogs .. useless blogs ... chatting around here .. getting ranks ??... we can make a difference. If not in the whole country, atleast to urself.Stop using plastic bags.Use paper covers for carrying your books, xerox papers, groceries and everything.Put yourself a rule and stick to it as i do.Be a change rather than expecting a change to come.Sometimes blogs can make a difference.I am sorry to say it as useless. Its out of agony.I started blogging to shout at indian youth. To call them for a movement. To create a change.I know we can but what we people do,higher studies, jobs and sit at home .... come guys lets join hands... i am not calling you guys to start a war .. a mission ...start using paper bags..if you dont find create one and use it.Preach it to your sons, daughters, their sons, their daughters.Atleast your society would use paper.Atleast they can make India greener.Lets make the title a history.Jai hind!!!

Burger King - An insprirational story for young entrepreneurs

As i always say young fellows like us must always opt for unorthodox things.Forget IT,it has no scope in mere future. What about higher studies?? .. yeah it has some scope. But not technical,as companies are not ready to take people even at MS caliber.A friend of mine went to NUS singapore and pursued his MS.Although he is the topper in his class,he didnt get job for nearly 6 months.Afetr his father's recommendation he got a job in his father's friend company for a salary of 1500 singapore $.This is too low considering a usuaul pay for MS students is around 5000$.So its time to think unique.Start a firm.Let your investment be as low as possible.Like this guy. This tory would be so inspirational to all fellows like us.

The story of Burger Man,Chennai is really motivating.Sunil Cherian,an MBA graduate started this small business in chennai.Although chennai is not famous for burgers,he took a gamble and started this business. He was rejected the franchise for KFC and this made him start his own business,Burger Man.He started the business 18 months before and rest is history.Initially he did not earn anything.he struggled to get popularity and now people come in search of him.He hosts in corporate parties, school functions. His famous tag line for grabbing corporate functions "give me your waste space.I would make it profitable".Thats the confidence of this young entrepreneur. All he needs is a 25Sq.ft setup. His family supported him and thus he made justice to his dreams. His words to young entrepreneurs "Believe in the potential of your dream and market it well".Sunil claims that his burger is cholestrol free as it is tawa made and uses minimum oil.The price range is 30 for Veg and 40 for non -veg

PEEPOO - A new way to pee

Donot think this as disgusting post. This problem is the cause for many deadly diseases including H1N1.This post is mainly to give an business idea. How we can convert even a social problem into a business stratergy. The biggest problem in the world is solved now ... A survey says 2.6 billion people does not have a toilet at home.So UN came up with a new idea,a transportable latrine bag,peepoo..Now you can carry this peepoo bag just like a mobile phone and use. What should i do after that. The answer is simple, just bury it.This peepoo bag is simple but very much effective.More than a million of people in India does not have home and a proper place to pee.So what they would do?.They use roads. This contaminates the environment.Instead we can popularise this peepoo bag. What if i throw this bag instead of burying it?.No problem. The contact between water and sanitation is cut and so no water contamination occurs. This peepoo bag acts as a fertilizer too.The best part is this peepoo bag is degradable. This was mainly invented for the sake of people in deep african forests.Just peep into youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dp5_ySFsH9E.

Lets spread PEEPOO .... make our mother India clean and green.Jai Hind!

Smoking - an adorable evil

Jus want to chill out from the entrepreneur world.... A story of my friend best friend shyam ...
Life went like a family ice cream pack, full of cream much sweeter than anything in our college days.we used to bunk classes and go to ground and smoke ... although smoking is not allowed n our campus.shyam used to bring 3 cigars and rahul and I used to share with him.... It was a gret feeling .. when we smoke we used to forget everything ... mind used to relax a... its a different feeling and only people who smoke can feel it .. lide went well ... been from the same school we moved with each other well .. shyam and i were from same class and so were so close ... but this cigar hour everyday made rahul closer to us ... As we moved to second year our subject difficulty also increased ... so our relaxing hour ... it gave us immense pleasure .. and our chit chat for that hour was priceless ... we used to comment on everybosy ... mock at our proffessors ... especially on Mr.Ram our Machine design lecturer .. one cannot forget those happy hours ...after all these mischievous we used to score 70% .. although we have some book worms scoring 90% ..70 was great for us considering the fact that we bunk classes ... oh yesh after all these we had our last day farewell .. and i couldnt believe life went so fast .. we three musketeers went to our favourite place and decided to have a last fag ... we spoke everything what we had for these 4 years ...
We were about to leave and i said " guys, its high time now ... " .. they dint understand and shyam asked me " Whats the matter dude?? " ... " Shayam dont you think we are going above the stipulated limits??? .. i mean smoking .. we almost smoke a packet everyday ... hmmm .. its the last day and why dont we take a resolution like to quit smoking" ... shyam burst into laughter ... and so as rahul ... but i could see rahul was giving a second thought ... shyam thought i was joking and dintsay any word and started to leave .. i held his shoulders and said "hey tell me an answer" ... he said " its off topic" ... i was so annoyed and we left the place where we stayed often ...
Life went well after that ... we joined a mechanical firm ... shayam's father was a big shot and so we got same firm with his influence ... work pressure was so high.I kept my word and i din touch cigar from then ... daily we used to meet 3 times at a tea shop ...due to our work we hardly meet ... when we meet shyam used to fag but rahul and I didnt ... we quit it way before ... One day we were asked to stay back at office since we had auditing the next day...that was external auditing and we have to set everything perfect ... it was 2 AM and we thought we have to chill out ... we went out and the climate was so cold ... shyam immediatly took one cigar and lighted it ... i said " Shyam please .. could you stop this idiotic habit? ... " he said " Anand, please dont compel me in this" .. I said " This would kill you shyam .. this is not good for your health" he didnt listen to my words and he continued his nasty habit ... i didnt like to stay there and so i left that place and suddenly rahul shouted "Anand !!! Anand !!! " .. i ran and found shyam fainted ..
We rushed to nearby hospital and we admitted shyam ... i was so worried ... i wished what ever i told him should not happen ... doctor came out and i rushed to him ... he was very sad and i asked him " Doc , what happen to shyam? " ... he said " calm Mr.Anand, shyam is suffering from the highest stage of lung cancer. He should have been here atleast before 10 months " ... i was shattered .. i felt as though a big pin pricked my heart ... i cried like anything when he said this ...i din even sleep that night .. i informed his parents .. his mom rushed to hospital ... it was a havoc seen there .. shyam's father did not turn up as he was busy with his business ... his business was his first son ... i know i am goin to lose my friend ... my dearest friemd ... all because of this bloody habit he had ... damm smoking ... shyam killed himself .. and so many lakh of youth ..
shyam left me 4 months after that .. In these 4 months he always used to tell me " i made a mistake.. a blunder ... i should have given light to your words and now i am an example to all those who smoke".yes he was an example for many people who smoke. An habit which started to be a fashion statement killed his life ... there are people who smoke and live for 50 years ... but there are also people like shyam ... why take chances ... live life happily ...
Guys .. please quit smoking ... before its takes a toll ...

Become an art auctioneer

Are you an artist??... if the answer is NO then do not worry. You can still start up an art business. This is one of the less investment business. There are thousands of artists in India looking for a start up in their career. Why not be a ladder for their life.We have seen many artists painting on the walls of indian streets. They paint for our useless politicians, their party. Why not get them and use their priceless talent for a good cause.Go to art schools and get students who are interested in selling their art.
What is the investment?? .... well all you need is a room with good interiors.Either you can own one and make it a permanent spot for all your auctions or rent it or few hours.Man power??? not necessary.Wear your formal shirt and blazers and you are the auctioneer.Make a profit of 30% for each art sold and thats it.Initially it would be hard for you to get artists and put up show.Your main investment lies in the advertisement and a party for all visitors ( for crowd pulling ).A business tip would be calling celebrity to start the show. You can also do online bidding or get the art and put up in ebay.A certificate mentioning the date of drawing and the gallery owner's authorization is required.Decide the resale value of the art at the time of auction.Donot invest on fake art.Starting up a website of yours posting the art shows would be a future plan.Indian artists are in great demand abroad. So plan your venue accordingly.
I stay at chennai and near my house we have a photo studio. The owner and his group of frens joined hands to start up this art show.Although they did not have any room to hold auctions, they diaplyed in their studio.Whenever people come to get their photos,he asked them to have a look at their art.He held up an interesting offer that those who buy an art would get their protray for free!!! .. guess what he got nearly 5000 for each art piece.I enquired him and got an info that his investment for each piece is 1000 and he gets 500% profit for each.
So guys Art Auction is a good option to start, but conditions apply*.

Investment Cost - 4000$ ( rental,advertising,refreshements )
Future enhancements - A general auction firm seliing Art,fashion dresses
Profit - 50% on ach piece.
Rating - 7/10

Stick to the business you know

5 out of 10 new entrepreneurs fail. Why ?.The two main reason for that is people start their business just because they want to start it.People are not well planned and the new faces often ends up in pressure and they quit.be sure what you start and do not start it for the sake of your friends. For any business to be a hit one needs to prepare a business plan first.Experts say that one needs to have 6 months expenses and investements in hand at the start up.We need to predict the sales before and plan.So always live with ur dreams. As Dr.APJ.Abdul Kalam said" A dream is not the one that makes you sleep but the one that makes you not to sleep".
